What is the age range for your toys?
Our toys are not recommended for babies under the age of 1, however there is no upper age limit. If it's cute, or goofy and you like it, then you buy it, we won't judge.
Are your toys made from safe and non-toxic materials?
Absolutely! Our raw materials are sourced from all over the world to make sure we have the largest range of colours in the country. We manufacture all our toys using Polylactic Acid which is a biodegradable thermoplastic made from renewal sources (mielies).
We received our order but the bottom of the toys are sticky, what gives?
Toyko has developed a repeatable production process that allows us to reduce manufacturing failures. The nature of our production process involves the need to adhere each toy to the manufacturing surface. It is difficult to do this consistenly without failures due to the varied colour palette we offer. Each colour type has slightly different characteristics which can alter its adhesion potential. If a production run fails, we bare the cost of that failure and the time taken to restart the production run. To avoid this, we use a water soluble adhesive designed specifically for our manufacturing process.
It is non-toxic and washes off with water.
How durable are the toys?
Our family oupa used to say "met geweld kan jy jou vinger in jou agterent af breek", which roughly translates as "with enough force, anything can be broken". Our toys will not stand up to serious abuse, but for general play should be okay.
Please note the materials used in the production of our toys are not UV resistant, if left in direct sunlight they will get damaged.
Are your toys painted?
No! The raw materials we use are coloured at the factory which means the colour is embedded into the toys. You do not need to worry about paint scrubbing off over time.
Can you customise sizes?
Yes, we can. Please visit our contact page with your size requirements. We will have to send you a manual invoice as the website does not cater for different sizes.
Do you do bulk orders?
Certainly! Whether you're putting a birthday party together for your little one or if you're an OT practitioner or even a teacher; whatever your bulk order requirements, we're happy to help.
Please visit our contact page and send us your requirements.
How does your pricing model work?
We price @ R1 per gram. So, we simply weigh each toy and that's your ex-vat price. Our store automatically adds the VAT on top of that.
So, if the toy weighs 10g then it's price is R10. On the toy listing you'll see R11.50 because the store adds 15% VAT.
Please note, we use a simple office scale to weigh our toys so variances in weight may occur.
How do you measure toy size?
Our standard is to measure toys in the way they are printed. Some toys cannot be measured this way because they have several parts that require post-processing and assembly.
In such cases, we'll stand the toy up straight, once assembled, and measure. So, please expect slight variances in measurements. We include sizes in product descriptions to give you a "rough" idea of what you're buying.

How long will it take to receive my order?
Everything you buy is made to order, especially for you. It is by design that we do not keep stock of any toys. Our print farm has over 60 printers running 24/7 and because we have a huge library of colours, the only sane way to manage this is to make your toy purchase an on-demand process.
With this in mind, all orders have a lead time of 3 - 7 days. Please keep this in mind when you place your order.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
No, we do not require a minimum order quantity however we do charge for shipping. If you buy a small item that costs you R25, it doesn't change the cost of shipping.
Please keep that in mind as you complete your purchase.
How do I track my order?
Our store is setup for email communications. You will receive communications from the Toyko email address.
Once your order has shipped, you'll receive an email with the tracking number.
What if my tracking info says my package was delivered, but I haven't received it?
This usually does not occur, but sometimes things can go wrong. Please visit our contact page and get in touch citing that your delivery has not arrived, we'll make a plan.
